Lortabs

The name Lortabs comes from a combination of two drugs which are hydrocodone and acetaminophen. The drug acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever which increases the effects of hydrocodone which is a mild to severe pain reliever. Although Lortabs are used for pain relief they can also be prescribed for other various reasons.

Tell your doctor how many alcoholic drinks you consume per day. If you consume more than 3 alcoholic drinks per day then you may not be able to take medications containing the drug acetaminophen.

Hydrocodone can become a habit forming narcotic and should only be used by the person who it has been prescribed to. Keep the medication is a safe and secure spot within your home where others can not get to it. This narcotic can induce side effects that impair your reactions and thinking.
